A crosspost from Red Maryland (MARK NEWGENT), and thought it was worthy of a read. In order to get the true value in it’s intent, you got to watch the video…simply put, shameless politicians!

  1. John says:

My Republican Congressman Says Cap and Trade is Good for America.

And, he caught the Green River Killer.

Did you catch the Green River Killer?

    No, no you didn’t.

You can hear his interview here.

Dave Reichert SPEAKS: says Cap and Trade will be good for America

He argued that the expense would not be what the Heartland Institute, Heritage Foundation, and Wall Street Journal were predicting. He argued that it would cost around $.48 per day and that we would have better national security, more nuclear, coal and refining capabilities, and a cleaner environment with the bill. He argued that the conservative arguments against were mistaken, and that Washington specifically would be better off even though the bill was imperfect.

And, he caught the Green River Killer.

Yeah, it took him a couple of decades, but better late than never.

I hear Fox was thinking about making the Series 24 about Reichert. But instead of showing 24 hours in a day they would have to make each episode a year.

  2. David says:

I don’t disagree that “something” has to be done. Reichert has stated more than a few times, that fossil fuel “is not the answer”..”let’s look to science”, I am not saying that that shouldn’t be done.

However, don’t pass of “Cap and Trade” as the solution, especially now. Economics is real…we are near an unrecoverable point in history. Just because the letters T_A_X are not present doesn’t make it otherwise.

    More jobs? BLAH!
    CO2 rising? BLAH!
Cap and Trade is not a TAX..BLAH!

Don’t penalize the hundreds of thousands of people whom are losing there jobs every month and say they are getting a tax break…This is single handedly the largest [regressive] TAX increase they will see in their lifetime!

But they get credits for improving their homes…WHAT? The first thing I’d do if I were to lose my job is go buy “energy efficient windows!” …please !
The science doesn’t support the argument and the economy can’t handle it!

Lastly, partisan politics aside…the entire group of nutso creeps in Washington and most State Capital’s are not creating policy, they are mostly in position to take advantage of all of the incentives created by this “crap” legislation. They are ‘lemmings’, bowing to a creation of the self proclaimed leader of thing big and small.

    Wake up!
