Get Out & About: Catonsville’s Turkey Bowl 2010

A good friend to the PVRC and local small business owner, Debbie Welsh, has put together a rather fabulous event going on this Sunday.  The first annual Catonsville Turkey Bowl is bound to become a local tradition.  Part of spreading the conservative message requires us to be involved in our communities, to be ever present across our district.  We can’t just show up every four years and expect people to jump on board with our candidates.  I invite you to start branching out beyond PVRC events, beyond Republican events, and build relationships with the citizens of District 12A.  This is our home after all.

This Sunday, December 5 at 10 am at the Hillcrest Elementary ball fields, join Debbie and other locals for a little flag football, food, fun, and a super cool T-shirt.  The cost is $12 and you get it all.  Seriously, most of you would spend more on breakfast and with this you get a shirt too.  Oh and let’s not forget the opportunity to work off some of those inches added to our waistlines over a certain turkey holiday.

Here is how Debbie described the event: “A nice fun, friendly game of flag football and as the kids mature maybe regular football!  Have adorable tees and we will be cooking breakfast around 930 at Catonsville Elementary.  Eggs, sausage, fruit and muffins. Mini tailgate any everyone can get ready for the Pitt game that night.  Cost is $12 only for the kids who play football and get a teeshirt and the rest will cover food for everyone. IT IS NOT $12 A PERSON. JUST WANT TO GET COST BACK FOR TEES AND SOME FOOD.  WE WILL HAVE A BATCH OF BLOODY MARYS, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.  PLEASE RSVP ASAP, SO I CAN GET IDEA OF TEES AND FOOD!!!! HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE, EVEN IF YOUR CHILD DOESN’T WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL JUST COME AND HANG OUT A LITTLE BREAK BEFORE THE CRAZY HOLIDAY RUSH STARTS!!”

So come on out and help us support our friend and the community. RSVP to Debbie, welshcatonsville@aol.com,  ASAP if you wish to participate.
